There is a global pandemic that continues to impact our world and change how we conduct business. It has resulted in millions of people struggling to study or work from home, while many others have been furloughed from their jobs altogether.

There also is civil unrest across the nation as thousands take to the streets to protest injustice and racial inequality, which further divides us as a nation. We are fed a

stream of contradictory information. We debate science and the efficacy of facial coverings to protect us. All the while, unemployment skyrockets and economists fear the worst.

It is only natural to feel stressed out and unsure.

The insurance industry is not immune to uncertainty that may or may not follow the rest of the world. Instability among insurance carriers causes stress to them and their insureds. National Farmers Union even as one of the larger insurers operating within the telecommunications sector, has been sold multiple times in the last few years.

Originally QBE Insurance sold to National General. Now National General/National Farmers Union is in the process of being acquired by Allstate. That is a lot of change in a short period of time. While the first sale didn’t create any challenge ripples, no one knows what the pending acquisition by AllState. Telcom Insurance Group has the same structure and basic ownership for 38 years, this is a stable insurance partner and stress free environment for an insured.

Telcom Insurance Group has been around since 1982, and while we have evolved and grown over the years, we have never lost sight of who we are and where we are headed. Every day we focus on one mission: to be your trusted insurance partner guiding your business through the uncertainties of life.

The current political climate will continue to create uncertainty in our lives, but an insurance partner like TIG can be a stabilizing force.

Many aspects of our successful operations are the result of responsible planning, astute management, excellence in all products and services, and the continued support from NTCA, policyholders, shareholders and our board of directors.

We appreciate your continued support and allowing us the opportunity to earn your trust every day. Thank you for being part of our family as we navigate together through these uncertain times.

Overcoming obstacles together

These are unprecedented times.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to reevaluate how we interact with one another. We are asked to quarantine ourselves, isolate and keep six feet away from others. We are wearing masks and gloves when we are forced to go out into the public for those things we need.

In an attempt to maintain a sense of normalcy, many of us are working from home. Our children are continuing their education online. All the while, no one is really sure how or when this will end. And when it does, some things may never be the same again.

One thing this health crisis has shown us is that the service you provide your customers is more important now than ever. It has become a vital tool in just about every aspect of our lives. The life-changing technology that you provide has become as essential to our lives as electricity or even water.

It is how so many stay connected to family and friends, work, and school. Through social media and numerous online conferencing sites, it is how we interact with our community. It is a primary source of entertainment during this time of quarantine and isolation.

So, during this pandemic, your mission has never been more essential.

And if a global health crisis isn’t enough, this is also the time of year when we must remain prepared for severe weather. Some of you may have already experienced severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and damaging wind that has disrupted service for your customers.

It is a never-ending battle, but it is one in which we wage together. These are the times when we must remain focused on our mission. Together we will survive these difficult times.

Speaking of togetherness, I would like to thank each of you who attended our Policyholder Breakfast at this year’s RTIME convention in Phoenix. This year’s breakfast had the largest turnout since we began the event. For those who were not able to attend, we hope you can make it next year.

It was an opportunity to meet and learn about each other on a deeper level. It was a great time to talk with you about the changes we are making at Telcom Insurance Group to better serve you in the future.

As Telcom Insurance Group policyholders, you are our family. We genuinely care about you and your success. Through these difficult times, we will be by your side to protect you and your assets during any emergency, whether it be a global pandemic or severe weather. Together we will overcome any obstacle that stands in our way.
